Surfing and Yoga are a match made in heaven and it´s no accident that the two pair up so well. Pre-surf stretching has been a vital part of surfing since forever: you´ll never see a surfer enter the water without doing some stretching first. Unless you are a seasoned swimmer, arms are not used for paddling as a rule, so shoulders can react unpleasantly to the demands of catching lots of waves. Good balance is an essential part of the surfing process. Yoga brings together many of the skills you will need to learn to surf well and perhaps most importantly, helps to stretch, relax, repair and tone aching limbs.
THE YOGA EXPERIENCE
During the Single fin Retreat, you shall experience Classical Hatha Yoga - Sivananda Style, Ashtanga Teachings and a Free Flow Yoga approach to guiding feeling and movement, which gets people radiantly healthy, free, creative and happy. Yoga is a way of being, moving and healing that releases the stress and tension limiting our potential, teaching us how to move with grace and coordination through all kinds of challenge and leads to greater levels of health and fitness.
The main objective is to bring you here, to the present moment, using calm connected movement and a steady breath. Creativity is heightened. You achieve greater strength and movability in your body, and calm focused awareness in your mind. You move through the familiar and unfamiliar with far less effort.

AYURYOGA (90 min) - EUR 55
Ayurveda and yoga are ancient disciplines of balancing body, mind and consciousness. They are intimately connected both in philosophy and in their practical application. They are so close together, so intimately intertwined that they look like the two sides of the same coin concurrent and inherent within each other. One on side, Ayurveda teaches the art of living in harmony with the nature , by suggesting proper diet, lifestyle and herbal protocols based upon an individual’s prakruti, vikruti paradigm. On the other side, Yoga brings the same balance through yama, niyama, asana, pranayama and the profound discipline of proper meditation. Both ayurveda and yoga suppor the four pillars of life: dharma (sacred duty), artha (success) kama (positive desire) and moksha (enlightment).
ABHYANGA (60 min) - EUR 40
Abhyanga (Sanskrit: अभ्यंग or अभ्यङ्ग "oil massage") is a form of Ayurvedic medicine that involves massage of the body with large amounts of warm oil. The oil is often pre-medicated with herbs for specific conditions. Abhyanga is prescribed for joint health, to nourish the dhatus (tissues of the body) and to bring aggravated doshas back to balance. The Abhyanga is also recommended to pacify aggravated vata dosha, improve the condition of extremely, dry and coarse hair and flaky skin.
INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE (30 min) - EUR 25
A typical Indian Head Massage starts with the upper back and neck working deeply over the muscles and pressure points to encourage the muscles to relax, and freeing up the energy flow around the head. The practitioner then moves into scalp massage, where further massage techniques are used to revive this whole area, improving circulation and the flow of oxygen and nutrients to the brain. The effect of this increases energy flow, helps stimulate hair growth and improves concentration.
